03 May Bentley Heritage Leather: Vintage Elegance Meets Modern Craftsmanship
Bentley continues to honor its rich heritage by introducing the Heritage Leather upholstery option, developed by Mulliner, its in-house personal commissioning division. Originally crafted for the Blower and Speed Six Continuation Series, this exquisite leather is now available for modern Bentley models, including the latest Continental GT.
Authentic Vintage Aesthetics
The Heritage Leather features a two-tone finish and haircell grain, replicating the look and feel of 1930s Bentley interiors. It is offered in two historically accurate colors: Ox Blood Red and Parsons Napier Green, both identified from original records of historic Bentleys.
Craftsmanship and Detailing
Staying true to upholstery techniques from the 1920s and 1930s, the seats in the Factory Works Speed Six are fluted, while the door inners feature a simple embossed “B” emblem. In contrast, the Continental GT’s interior showcases the full range of Mulliner’s craftsmanship, including quilted and embroidered seat uppers, diamond-patterned perforations, contrast embroidery, and piping.
Sustainability and Durability
The Heritage Leather is supplied by Bridge of Weir, known for producing the world’s lowest carbon leather through responsible sourcing and innovative manufacturing processes. This leather is not only sustainable but also durable, with many pre-war Bentleys still featuring their original leather upholstery.
Availability
Heritage Leather can be specified through Mulliner’s personal commissioning program, allowing customers to infuse their modern Bentleys with a touch of historic elegance.
