In 2021, legendary musician, composer, and artist Brian Eno released a limited run of 50 turntables, notable for their integrated LED lighting. This year he’s back with an updated model that’s (slightly) less limited. The Turntable II eschews the traditional rectangular shape of the original for a circular resin body and a precision-cast acrylic platter, both of which benefit from RGB LEDs that slowly change colors as the music plays.

The belt drive motor supports 33- and 45-rpm playback, while the white Pro-Ject aluminum tonearm, Ortofon white 2M cartridge, and gold-plated RCA connectors keep the sound quality high. Produced as a limited edition of 150, the record player is on display at Paul Stolper Gallery in London’s Bloomsbury until 9 March 2024.
