Hublot Big Bang Tourbillon Automatic Green SAXEM: Innovation in Vivid Green

Hublot applies green SAXEM to a new Big Bang Tourbillon, extending the use of this innovative material, originally developed for satellite technology, as resistant as sapphire but significantly more brilliant.

While SAXEM shares some similarities with sapphire, particularly in hardness and transparency, it differs in several key aspects.
Both materials are composed of aluminium oxide, but SAXEM is combined with rare earth elements. It also differs on a molecular level. Sapphire has a trigonal (three-sided) structure, whereas SAXEM is cubic (four-sided). This subtle yet significant distinction allows SAXEM to achieve intense colours and exceptional brilliance, akin to a precious gemstone.
The new Hublot Big Bang Tourbillon Automatic Green SAXEM, which follows the chronograph model launched in 2024 and the Big Bang MP-11 from 2019, combines an intense emerald-green transparent SAXEM case with a sophisticated tourbillon movement.
Housed within the fully polished 44 mm x 14.40 mm case, Hublot’s MHUB6035 manufacture calibre operates at a frequency of 3 Hz (21,600 vibrations per hour) and offers a 72-hour power reserve.

Entirely developed and manufactured in-house, this self-winding tourbillon movement features an openworked architecture centred around the visual symmetry of the 22-karat gold micro-rotor at 12 o’clock and the 60-second tourbillon carriage at 6 o’clock.

The openness of the construction is enhanced by three functional sapphire elements: the barrel bridge, automatic winding gears bridge, and tourbillon barrette.
Finishes in black tones contrast with the SAXEM case and complement the crown and the bezel’s six H-shaped screws.
Water-resistant to 30 metres / 100 feet, the Big Bang Tourbillon Automatic Green SAXEM comes on a black rubber strap with a black-plated titanium folding clasp, accompanied by an additional green transparent rubber strap.
Limited to just 18 pieces, the new Hublot Big Bang Tourbillon Automatic Green SAXEM (ref. 429.JG.0110.RT) is priced at CHF 210,000 / €241,000 / US$231,000.
