2023 looks to shaping up as a battle for the ages in GT3 endurance racing classes across the globe. Ferrari is throwing its hat in the ring, contesting the GT3 class against Porsche’s 911 GT3 with the new 296 GT3.

Based on the 296 GTB, the GT3 version sports a 120-degree turbocharged V6, with the turbochargers mounted in the “vee” of the motor, F1-style. This makes for a more compact footprint and keeps the weight low in the chassis, making sure the suspension can get the most of the V6’s 600 horsepower and 525 lb-ft of torque. Ferrari promises full technical support to customers over the course of the 2023 season.
