“PARIS TO VA.”Louis Vuitton’s Fall/Winter 2024 collection

Louis Vuitton, guided by the visionary Pharrell Williams, embarked on a Western odyssey for its Fall/Winter 2024/25 collection, unveiling the essence of American Western fashion in the spectacular show titled “PARIS TO VA.” Williams, in his third runway show for Louis Vuitton, transported the audience to the expansive landscapes reminiscent of the great plains and Monument Valley.

The Jardin d’Acclimatation in Paris served as the enchanting backdrop for this memorable show, closing the first night of Mens Fashion Week. Amidst the A-list crowd, the collection emphasized the brand’s DNA rooted in cultural exchange through travel. The show commenced with a film prelude featuring Ron Husband, the renowned Disney animator, sketching his vision of the first cowboy.

One of the distinctive elements of this collection was the creative exchange with artists from Dakota and Lakota nations, bringing a unique perspective to the fashion narrative. Collaborating with creative director Dee Jay Two Bears of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe, the collection extended its reach to accessories and even the soundtrack, creating a truly immersive experience.

Louis Vuitton’s commitment to cultural authenticity was further exemplified through collaborations with American boot brand Timberland. The LV Lens re-envisioned Timberland boots, and the iconic Millionaire Sunglasses, initially introduced by Pharrell Williams and Nigo in 2004, underwent a reinterpretation.

The runway showcased a fusion of Western and Native American influences, featuring Buffalo checks, LV cowboy hats, turquoise jewelry, workwear jackets, denim, and embroidered cowboy shirts. The iconic Speedy Bag embraced a new identity with the incorporation of Dakota Flower embroidery. LV Texan cowboy boots and Rodeo shoes took center stage, serving as a reminder of the brand’s manufacturing post established in rural Texas in 2019.

“PARIS TO VA” not only redefines heritage but amplifies the authentic voices of the artisans involved in weaving the narrative of this season. Louis Vuitton’s Fall/Winter 2024 collection is a testament to the brand’s dedication to cultural appreciation and the evolution of American Western fashion.

Explore the captivating journey of Louis Vuitton’s Fall/Winter 2024 collection, where fashion meets cultural exchange, and tradition is redefined. Witness the fusion of heritage and innovation, as Pharrell Williams leads Louis Vuitton on a transformative exploration of style, identity, and the roots of American Western fashion.
